Mission Statement

The Collektiv is about cultivating community and liberation through art and personal connection. We produce and distribute clothing, publish and distribute books, and produce and distribute music, all for free. We're a Newburgh based non-profit currently focused on local projects for the benefit of the community.

Completed Projects

Artistry by Noreen Love

Noreen Love was a marvelous artist and compassionate individual living in Safe Harbors who approached The Collektiv in summer of 2023 about publishing a book of her sketches around Newburgh. We produced a limited release of her book Artistry by Noreen Love in the fall of 2023. After completion a copy was submitted into the Safe Harbors library.

Flowers For Our Grandmothers

Flowers For Our Grandmothers is a collaboration between Newburgh based community activist Gabrielle Burton Hill, photographer Francois Deschamps, and The Collektiv to document and preserve photographs and oral histories of 12 grandmothers residing in Newburgh, NY.

A-TENSiON!

A-TENSiON! is a spoken word, vocal, musical performance piece performed by Newburgh based artist Ω-Resistance, produced by The Collektiv and available on The Collektiv flash drives. It is the full message of The Collektiv in long form.

Spanish Language Coloring Book

The Collektiv published a Spanish language coloring book in spring of 2024 based on the sayings of Al-Anon and AA. It was a wonderful collaboration with Newburgh based artist Carol Flaitz and The Collektiv to bring the book to life.
